SMG National Collection Centre Site Progress

Construction work continues in Wroughton, Wiltshire on the new National Collection Centre for the Science Museum Group (SMG), with the roof and cladding almost complete and the internal linings now being installed.

This huge building will be home to over 300,000 objects that are currently being studied, recorded, digitised and packed ready for the move once the building is completed in 2020.

From 2023, the building will welcome thousands of school children, researchers and members of the public, giving them unprecedented access to the national collection.
