A Cider Production plant and administrative facilities, created following the major re-development of a redundant preserves manufacturing complex, this joint venture scheme by Heineken allowed the relocation of the existing Bulmers cider production from Hereford.

Following a an extensive programme of work, the site re-development included new access roads/product storage buildings/ boiler house and ancillary buildings/production areas as well as canning and bottling lines to process up to 15,000 tonnes of fruit at a peak per week.

Located with sight of an area of outstanding natural beauty and in an agricultural setting, careful consideration to the visual aspect and impact of the development was required, including the re-use and profiling of development excavations to the site perimeter, to create significant ‘wild meadow’ landscaping screening.
