CEW Award Win – Palace Theatre

We were delighted to receive further recognition for our Swansea Council Palace Theatre project at this year’s Constructing Excellence in Wales awards held on Friday at Celtic Manor.  The Palace Theatre won the Regeneration and Conservation award – following the success of the Hafod Morfa Copperworks project last year and Plaza Port Talbot project the year before!

The project sort to save Swansea’s oldest theatre from decay and adapt it for reuse as an office co working space to aid the regeneration of the High Street. Key interventions included restoration of the cast iron balustrade, recreation of the plaster proscenium arch and introduction of new rooflights to flood the historical dark spaces with natural light. 

It was great to celebrate this win and everyone’s hard work over the last 5 years, with the client, end tenant, multi-disciplinary team, and contractor.
