Murton Way, York

Murton Way is a contemporary office development occupying the former site of Shoucksmiths' previous headquarters. The redevelopment provides a new purpose-built head office for Shoucksmiths, alongside 6 high-quality office space building designed to support a range of commercial occupiers.

The principal office building accommodates up to seven bespoke office suites. Shoucksmiths' headquarters was delivered as a fully fitted workspace, while the remaining office suites were completed to a shell-and-core specification, allowing future tenants the flexibility to tailor the internal layouts to suit their individual business requirements.

GWP Architecture, in collaboration with Artium Construction, was appointed to deliver the project from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion. The development was successfully completed in summer 2025, with Shoucksmiths taking occupation shortly afterwards. Complementing the office accommodation, the wider scheme also includes six industrial units, creating a diverse commercial development that supports both office and light industrial uses.
