RIBA Beacon Project Shortlist

GWPA is excited to announce that our team has been shortlisted for the RIBA Beacon project, part of Bradford's 2025 UK City of Culture. We worked together with Faum Architecture, and our proposal is one of five selected. The RIBA competition looks for designs for an 'iconic travelling performance space' to host events during Bradford's time as UK City of Culture in 2025.

Our design features an innovative and sustainable mobile venue. This venue will serve as a symbol of cultural celebrations in 2025. Its modular design allows it to be easily moved and set up in different locations across Bradford, providing space for activities that highlight the city’s unique culture and history. Bradford won the UK City of Culture 2025 competition last May, beating bids from County Durham, Southampton, and Wrexham County Borough.
