Y Storfa Community Hub Starts on Site

Swansea Council has initiated work on a new community hub located in the former BHS building on Oxford Street, which will be named Y Storfa, translating to "store" in Welsh. This new facility will feature the main city centre library, the West Glamorgan Archive Service, exhibition and meeting spaces, a café, and a children’s library/activity area. Additionally, it will provide advice on housing, benefits, Careers Wales, and Citizens Advice.

Kier Construction is currently engaged in stripping the building back to its original structure to facilitate the transformation. The detailed design of the project is being spearheaded by GWP Architecture in collaboration with Hydrock (now Stantec).
