Platanes, King’s College London

The scheme, located in the London Borough of Southwark, will provide accommodation for 155 students in the refurbishment of a 19th century Grade II listed mansion known as ‘Platanes’, replacing existing accommodation that is considered of inappropriate standard to satisfy current needs.

The refurbished mansion sits along side four new build blocks that are organised to form three distinct courtyard spaces, each with their own character and identity. The accommodation is provided as en-suite study bedrooms in a cluster flat format with students sharing common kitchen, dining and living spaces. Additional communal areas are provided within the ground floor.
