We are delighted to announce that the 491 bedroom student residential accommodation development designed for Manchester Metropolitan University has been granted Full Planning Approval. The development of Plots E (Phase II) follows on from the success of Birley Fields Phase 1, to provide further student bedrooms.

The scheme comprises 3 distinct buildings responding to the scale and vernacular of their context. The most dominant building being a 16 storey brick tower form which takes a commanding position on the edge of Princess Road, and will boast spectacular citywide views from bedrooms and kitchen/dining rooms.

The scheme aims to provide excellent standards of bedroom accommodation arranged in 8 bedroom clusters, a central reception with linked social, recreational and study spaces, an enhanced public realm and secure covered cycle storage within a car free, sustainably aware environment.
