Work have started on Swansea Council’s new community hub – in Oxford Street’s former BHS building – which will be known as Y Storfa, the Welsh word for “store”.

Facilities will include the new main city centre library and the West Glamorgan Archive Service, as well as exhibition / meeting spaces, café, children’s library / activity area. Advice on offer will include information on housing and benefits, Careers Wales and Citizens Advice.

Kier Construction are underway stripping the building back to its original structure to allow Swansea’s former BHS and Miss Selfridge to be transformed.
